Clemson Island to Harrisburg
Ending August 7, 2006
River Conditions: The river
is currently at 3.8 and
steady. Water temp mid 80's.
West shore to middle is
clear, east side is still
muddy.
Hatches: Cahills and blue
damsels.( white fly for the
most part is over.)
Fly patterns: #2-4
Clouser
minnows in chart.

and white, olive and yellow,
susq shiner, blue claw.
Clouser

Other information: With the
water dropping the
smallmouth have moved up
onto the flats and gravel
bars. A intermediate or type
2 sinking works well in the
shallower water. Fishing
this past week has been good
but with smaller fish.
7 Day Outlook: The flows
should be holding steady.
Cooler temps both day and
night should make for good
fishing.

Clemson Island to Harrisburg Ending July
30, 2006
River Conditions: The river is currently
at 4.22, water temp 86 deg. West shore
to middle is clear middle to east shore
is muddy.
Hatches: Caddis and Yellow Drake. Some
white flies are still coming off but the
heavier hatch has moved upstream.
Fly patterns: #2-4
Clouser minnows in chart.
yellow/chart.,
chart and white, olive and yellow, and a
new pattern
Clouser
Blue Claw fly.
Clouser
Crawfish size #4.
Other information: Fishing is good right
now with the smallies holding on mid
river structure, especially on the
ledges. Full sinking lines are the
ticket for presenting your fly over
structure. Had a chance to fish with Bob
Clouser this past week and fished a new
pattern of his
Blue Claw fly that was very
effective on the larger smallmouth bass.
7 Day Outlook: We are hoping for the
river to get stable again this week,
there is a small rise coming down for
New York early in the week. After that
steady stages are expected. Very hot
weather with thunderstorms at the end of
the week. Fishing should remain good
this week.

Clemson Island to Harrisburg Ending July 23, 2006
River Conditions: The river is currently at 4.6 and
rising again from weekend rains up north. The west
shore was clear out to middle, middle to east shore
is still muddy. Water temp 85.
Hatches: The white flies are here, also caddis and
yellow drakes.
Fly patterns: #2-4 Clouser
minnows in chart. yellow/chart.,
chart and white, olive and yellow.
Clouser Crawfish size
#8, white wullfs and white popper or floating
minnows.
Other information: The fishing has really improved
this past week with some good number days.
Smallmouth are holding on summer structure and
fishing sinking lines getting the fly down in the
higher flow is the ticket. Evening fishing during
the white fly has been very good as well.
7 Day Outlook: The river is receiving afoot or so
rise and that will make fishing tough for most of
the week. Conditions should improve for the weekend
and the fishing should be good.

really working the fly aggressively.
